"I was in town by myself and booked with Captain Joel last minute. He was very accommodating and worked with me in getting my day pass and to the location. I have years of experience kayak fishing in Texas and can say the Predator PDLs that he is supplying are top notch! I was comfortable all day and was able to stand and fish as well as maneuver around the water with ease. The rods and reels he provides had me rethinking my setups back home and and never was my rod out of the water, even through multiple snags in the mangroves, he would pass me another rod and I would keep going.
We caught nice sized speckled trout throughout the day and I was determined to get a snook but alas they are as elusive as I have heard. Joel was even more determined to get me on a good sized fish and worked all day covering miles of water to get me on it. After hooking into a redfish that would have placed top three in a tourney (27 7/8 and lofty) we navigated back to the launch point.
Overall I will be returning to fish with Captain Joel as his determination to put me on good fish is second to none. We could have caught a ton of smaller fish but he heard my wishes and we grinded out very nice fish in the area. This is definitely a trip that bears repeating."
